Magnetically coupled pumps are designed so that part of the main flow flows out the front of the impeller through the shaft support and thrust ring, lubricating the assembly that is responsible for axial thrust.
If the pump works without fluid, the consequences are fatal for the equipment.

To protect the equipment from dry work, Drotec offers a power monitor that instantly measures the power consumed by the equipment and compares it with predetermined and fixed values of high power cut-off and low power cut-off.

If the high cut-off value is exceeded or is lower than the low cut-off value, the protector disables the equipment.
